ExamUp is an independently developed private student utility and productivity application. It is NOT affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or officially connected with any government body, public service commission, or examination authority (including but not limited to SSC, UPSC, NTA, IBPS, RRB, or State PSCs). All examination names, dates, and related data within the app are strictly for general educational guidance and reference purposes.
1. Overview & Local-First Architecture
ExamUp is built on a strict Local-First Privacy Architecture. Your personal routines, study schedules, syllabus tracking milestones, offline financial expense logs, and secret credential vault data are stored entirely locally on your physical device. We do not transmit, sell, rent, trade, or upload your personal study data to external cloud servers.
2. Information Collection and Third-Party SDKs
While ExamUp does not collect personally identifiable information directly on its own servers, the application integrates industry-standard third-party software development kits (SDKs) to facilitate advertising, billing, and system stability:
* Google AdMob: The free version of ExamUp displays contextual ads and banner promotions. AdMob may automatically collect non-personally identifiable diagnostic metadata, including Android Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, network carrier details, and crash metrics in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
* Google Play Billing: When purchasing optional Pro plans or lifetime licenses, all financial transactions and payment processing are handled exclusively through Google Play Billing. ExamUp does not store or process your credit/debit card details or bank credentials.
* Google Play Services: Used to ensure operating system compatibility, security, and notification delivery.
3. Paid Promotions, HomeTab & Sponsored Banners
ExamUp may display sponsored third-party study material, test series promotions, affiliate coaching banners, and paid advertisements on the HomeTab (The Hub).
Clicking on any sponsored link redirects you to external third-party platforms governed by their own independent privacy terms. The developers of ExamUp do not verify, endorse, or guarantee third-party claims, services, or transactions, and accept ZERO (0%) legal or financial liability for any interactions, purchases, or disputes arising from third-party promotions.
4. Device Permissions & Specific Justification
ExamUp requests only minimal Android operating system permissions strictly necessary for core functionality:
* Internet Access (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required to load advertisements, verify Pro licenses with Google Play Billing, and stream Text-to-Speech (TTS) voice engines.
* Notifications & Exact Alarms (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Used solely to trigger user-configured study slot alarms, gate closure timers, and exam milestone alerts.
* Screen Wakelock (WAKELOCK): Used during Full-Screen Focus Zone desk mode to keep the screen active while studying.
* Storage / Media Access: Used strictly when you voluntarily select custom MP3 notification ringtones or upload documents/photos into the image compression and document checklist tools.
5. Secret Credential Vault & Offline Safety
The Secret Exam Vault feature stores user roll numbers, registration IDs, and portal passwords entirely offline on your local device. Access is secured by a user-defined 4-digit PIN. The developer has zero access to your credentials.
6. Data Deletion & App Uninstallation
Because all user-created data resides exclusively in your device’s local storage, you maintain total control over your information. Clearing the app data/cache in Android Settings or uninstalling ExamUp permanently and irreversibly erases all routines, ledger entries, and vault records from your device.
7. Technical Glitches, Crashes & Limitation of Liability
ExamUp is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis with all faults.
The developer accepts NO liability for any technical glitches, app crashes, missed alarms, notification delays caused by Android OS battery optimization (Doze Mode), incorrect countdown timers, or exam deadline oversights. Users remain solely responsible for manually verifying all official exam dates, admit card schedules, and deadlines directly with respective official government portals.
8. Children's Privacy
ExamUp is designed for general student audiences and competitive examination aspirants. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.
9. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new application features or regulatory changes. Your continued use of ExamUp following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
