ABOUT US

Water is fundamental to a sustainable society.
Our research focuses on understanding and optimizing physicochemical and biological processes in water and wastewater systems, while developing advanced materials and next-generation technologies for water treatment. In addition, we conduct research on resource-circulating cementitious materials, including waste-derived cement and carbonation-based technologies, contributing to circular economy and carbon reduction strategies.

Our projects integrate laboratory-scale experiments, pilot-scale investigations, and process modeling to improve treatment efficiency, enhance resource recovery, and strengthen environmental resilience. By applying environmental chemistry, reaction kinetics, and transport phenomena, we address complex water quality and resource circulation challenges in both natural and engineered systems.
