The Engineers Fair is the main event of Engineers Week and is a celebration of engineering where our UCF CECS students can interact with the younger generation and encourage them to pursue careers in STEM fields
Hosted by Society of Women Engineers
How many pennies do you think aluminum foil can hold? See the buoyancy force of water by building boats out of aluminum foil and testing them to see how many pennies they holds before sinking! How does changing the shape and location of the pennies change the result?
Hosted by Artificial Intelligence at UCF
AI@UCF will demo to students what projects they've done which include classifying images/art, objection detection, and more!
Hosted by American Society of Civil Engineers
Learn how to make bridges and buildings out of spaghetti and marshmallows. Two Jenga sets will be available to play with as well
Hosted by Society of Environmental Engineers
Interactive activity where students will get to see how dirty water is cleaned and made into a usable end product through simple filtration methods.
Hosted by Theta Tau
Students will put their minds and creativity to the test by building gliders to compete who's can go the furthest! Students will learn the concepts of lift and drag and how to utilize them to create a more effective glider.
Hosted by Tau Beta Pi
A table of activities demonstrating several different types of engineering.
Hosted by Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS-UCF)
Do you love space? Then be sure to come out to build and launch model rockets with SEDS-UCF!
Hosted by Baja International
Students will build model cars from supplied resources and race them down a ramp against each other.
Hosted by American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
ASME will be doing the construction and demonstration of Hydraulic Arms. The attendants will be provided with basic supplies to create a working cardboard hydraulic arm. Students will have to work as a team to complete the build within the time provided.
Hosted by Institute of the Industrial & Systems Engineers
Participants will try to fill a board with limited geometric pieces.
Hosted by Engineering Leadership and Innovation Institute
ELI^2 will display three of their projects from their student committee.
Hosted by American Institute of Aeronautics (AIAA)
Assemble small aircraft. Learn the basics of aerodynamics, lift, and how design selection can affect performance
Hosted by FPVKnights
Check out our First Person View simulators used by UCF’s drone racing team!
Hosted by Society of Optics Students
Kids get to explore diffraction with hands-on demonstrations and take-home diffraction glasses!
