Prof. Fatima-Zohra IFLAHEN

Professor Fatima-Zohra IFLAHEN is the Vice President of research of Cadi Ayyad University.
Fatima-Zohra IFLAHEN, a distinguished Professor at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech since 1999, embodies academic excellence and activism. With a background in North American Studies, Mediterranean Migrations, and Applied Foreign Languages, her expertise extends to gender dynamics in literature. She's a sought-after gender consultant, advocating for women's rights and development through civil society engagement. As a pivotal figure in local and international initiatives, she fosters dialogue between academia and society, contributing to gender equality, education, and societal transformation.

 

Prof. Naaila OUAZZANI

Professor Naaila Ouazzani, distinguished as the Vice Dean entrusted with research affairs at the esteemed Faculty of Sciences Semlalia, exemplifies a beacon of academic leadership. As an avid contributor, she actively participates in National Center for Water and Energy Research (CNEEREE) at the University Cadi Ayyad (UCA). Her impactful tenure has seen her spearhead a multitude of projects, spanning collaborations with European, American, and the OCP, illuminating her commitment to pioneering research. She has an expertise in water treatment.


 

 

Prof. Abdelghani CHEHBOUNI

Prof. Abdelghani CHEHBOUNI is a doctor in hydrology and remote sensing, he received his B.S. in fluids Mechanics from University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France in 1987 and his M.S. in Environment Science from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse in 1989, and a PhD in Hydrology and Remote Sensing from University Paul Sabatier in Toulouse in 1992. He has been working at the University of Arizona for 18 months and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for 2 years. He is co-investigator of several Remote Sensing programs (VEGETATION, ERS2/ATSR2, EOS). His main research interests include the application of remotely sensed data in land-surface-atmosphere models especially in arid semi-arid regions. He participates in several international experiments (MONSOON'90, Hapex Sahel) and he wasa co-leader of the Semi-Arid-Land-Surface-Atmosphere (SALSA) international program. He joined CESBIO in 2000 as the leader of hydrology group. Professor Abdelghani CHEHBOUNI is a Director of Research at the renowned IRD (Research Institute for Development) in Toulouse, France. Additionally, he holds the position of Director at the International Water Research Institute within UM6P, situated in Benguerir. 

 

 

Prof. Laila MANDI

Laila MANDI, professor of Water & Environmental Sciences at the University Cadi Ayyad of Marrakech, has played significant roles in both national and international arenas. Beginning as the National Coordinator of the Pole of Competences on "Water and Environment" in 2001, she spearheaded research on integrated water resources management in Morocco. In 2008, MANDI's leadership expanded as she became the Director of the National Centre for Studies and Research on Water and Energy, enhancing collaboration between research and socio-economic sectors. Mandi's influence extends to her roles as Chair of the Research Committee at the River Basin Agency of Tensift Alhaouz and membership in various steering committees. Internationally, she represents Morocco in esteemed organizations such as the Arab League of Water Research Centers. Notably, Mandi's contributions were acknowledged with the Islamic Development Bank Prize for Women's Contribution to Development in 2015, underscoring her exceptional research and dedication to water resources management.


 

 

Prof. Abdelilah BENYOUSSEF

Professor Abdelilah Benyoussef received his “Doctorat d’état” degree from the Paris-Sud University in 1983. He is a permanent member of the Moroccan Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology, since 2006. He is National coordinator of the Competences Pole of Condensed Matter and Systems Modeling. He is also editor in chief of the Moroccan Journal of Condensed Matter. He is President of the Moroccan Society of Statistical Physics and Condensed Matter. The main interest topics of Abdelilah Benyoussef are Ab initio calculation and Monte carlo method in modeling and simulation of new materials and nanomaterials for renewable energy; Magnetism and phase transition in condensed matter; complex systems and critical self-organization in statistical physics. He is a co-author of more than 600 research publications and book chapters and about 100 conference presentations including numerous invited papers and talks. He has co-chaired or co-organized several international conferences. He holds a number of patents and supervised 40 postgraduate research candidates. 


 

 

Prof. Mouad DAHBI

Prof. Dahbi is an associate professor in materials chemistry and electrochemistry at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Ben Guerir, Morocco. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry and Electrochemistry at the Université François Rabelais, France, in 2013, where his work focused on the high-power asymmetric lithium-ion capacitor. He joined the University of Science in Tokyo, Japan, as a postdoctoral fellow in 2013 and became an assistant professor in 2015. His work focused on the development of materials for negative electrodes and electrolytes for lithium, sodium and potassium-ion batteries, on the synthesis and characterization of materials and electrochemical evaluation of synthesised materials with appropriate correlation. His current research focuses on the development of high energy density electrode material systems for efficient energy storage technology and low cost batteries based on the abundant elements of the Earth’s crust. Qualified from the National Council of Universities in France (CNU) to become Lecturer in; Section CNU31- Theoretical Chemistry, Physics, Analytics and Section CNU33- Chemistry of Materials. He is also editor of the «CHIMIE» section of the journal Scientific African, and external expert ANR (National Research Agency).

 

 

Dr. Mahmoud BOUOUD

Dr. Mahmoud BOUOUD is a technical expert at the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit ). He is expert in Renewable Energy and energy efficiency. He is certified Energy Management Professional with significant experience in the development and implementation of several sustainable energy projects in the MENA region.  He worked in the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) during more than two years. He was a visiting researcher in many international universities including North China Electric Power University in China, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in Lithuania, and Universidad de León in Spain. He is author of several articles and conference papers discussing the modeling and optimization of renewable energy systems. A competitive educational background with a Bachelor degree in Energy Engineering, a Master degree in Renewable Energies and PhD in Solar Heat for Industrial Process. 


 

 

Prof. Hiba ASRI

Hiba Asri is an associate professor in the computer science department of the Faculty of Sciences Semlalia (Cadi Ayyad University, Morocco), and a member of the Pedagogical Innovative center of Cadi Ayyad University.

In 2015, she holds her Engineering Degree in Computer Science and Information System at The Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakesh.

In 2019, she holds her PhD in computer science for her work on Big Data, Predictive / Preventive Analysis, Machine Learning and Reality Mining applied to the field of health, at Cadi Ayyad University.She obtained an engineering degree in Computer Networks and Information Systemin 2014. His main research interests include Big Data, Machine Learning, IoT,Robotics, Data Mining algorithms, human-machine interaction and new generation, internet technologies; in various fields of application such as health, education (e- learning) and agricutlture.

In 2022, She got the Special Price from UNESCO for her Video Course on Machine Learning Algorithm.

In 2023, She got the price of the best instructor by Huwaei and she’s actually an instructor of AI in Huwaei e learning platforms.

from 2022, she’s working in collaboration with UniDistance university (Brig Switzerland) in order to enhance the quality of e-learning for students and professors.

From 2022, she’s making srippted courses in a Moroccan National platform (Moodle platform).In addition to her academic experience, she’s a general chair of many conferences, as well as Keynote Speaker / Session Chair in various conferences and international workshops.
