Having grown up and lived most of my life in the small rural town of Ashby, Massachusetts, I developed a connection with and love for the natural world at a very young age. I grew up around members of the Ashby Land Trust, which I am the current President of, leading to my initial interest in land conservation specifically. I pursued this interest through high school and into college at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Global Environmental Studies and a Masters of Science in Environmental Science.
Since graduating college, I have done a variety of jobs in the realms of land conservation and land stewardship. I have owned and operated my own landscaping company, as well as worked for a reputable organic gardening company. I am a registered conservation contractor for the State of Massachusetts, where I have authored Baseline Documentation and posted property boundaries for multiple state agencies as well as local land trusts. I have held staff positions at multiple land trusts, and am the current Stewardship Specialist for the Piscataquog Land Conservancy in New Boston, New Hampshire.
I believe that landowners and conservation-focused organizations have a strong obligation to responsibly steward their land for the benefit of local communities- both human and plant and animal. New Hampshire and Massachusetts landscapes are changing at a faster pace than ever, making responsible and dynamic conservation and land management work more important than ever. I am firmly dedicated to providing these services for my clients, and I thank you for your interest.
