Evyatar Nitzany

Evyatar Nitzany is the former Electrophysiology Program Manager at El Camino Health in Mountain View, California. With more than a decade of specialized experience, he developed a strong command of operational leadership within the highly dynamic field of cardiac care. Throughout his tenure, he became known for creating high-performance service lines, guiding infrastructure development, and leading clinical programs toward accreditation and national visibility. His work blended technical expertise with strategic execution and played a central role in transforming El Camino Health’s EP program into one of the most advanced and fastest growing in the region.

Early Experiences that Shaped a Career in Healthcare

Evyatar’s early life instilled in him a sense of purpose and discipline that later guided his commitment to the healthcare field. His interest in science took shape during his education in the United States, where he began studying biotechnology and developed a growing fascination with its clinical applications. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Florida and completed a minor in Chemistry. He later completed a Master of Science in Biotechnology at the University of California, Irvine, further strengthening his technical foundation.

As his interests narrowed toward cardiac care, Evyatar enrolled in the Cardiac Specialist Program at the Arrhythmia Technologies Institute in Greenville, South Carolina. His training at the institute immersed him in advanced electrophysiology concepts and prepared him for the complex work of supporting cardiac teams in real-world clinical environments.

Building Skills Through Ground-Level Clinical Support

Evyatar entered the workforce through a clinical support role with Biosense Webster, a global leader in cardiac electrophysiology technology. As a Clinical Account Specialist, he provided technical and clinical guidance for the CARTO 3 mapping system, supporting physicians and hospital staff across prominent Bay Area accounts. His responsibilities extended beyond the electrophysiology lab and included physician education, engagement with hospital administrators, and broader strategic account development. These early experiences sharpened his communication skills and expanded his understanding of the operational challenges facing EP programs.

In 2016, Evyatar joined El Camino Health as an Electrophysiology Coordinator. Working within both the catheterization and EP laboratories, he supported advanced procedures, helped manage equipment planning and capital budgeting, and played a key role in training an expanding electrophysiology team. His responsibilities evolved quickly, and by 2019, he was promoted to Coordinator for both Electrophysiology and Interventional Radiology. This broader role required him to manage multi-department operations, streamline supply chains, lead equipment acquisitions, and support workflow standardization during a period of significant program growth.

Leadership that Elevated a Regional Cardiac Program

In 2022, Evyatar Nitzany was appointed Program Manager of Electrophysiology and Interventional Radiology at El Camino Health. This leadership transition marked a pivotal point for the hospital’s ability to scale its cardiac services. Under his direction, the electrophysiology program experienced a 400 percent increase in business volume, supported by many consecutive years of double-digit growth. His work involved close collaboration with seven electrophysiologists, hospital administration, and medical directors, ensuring that expansion aligned with clinical needs and long-term strategy.

Evyatar played a central role in developing cutting-edge EP laboratories and in overseeing the acquisition and implementation of next-generation technologies. He also coordinated the hospital’s efforts to secure Cath and EP accreditation from the American College of Cardiology, contributing significantly to El Camino Health’s HeartCARE Center designation. This milestone placed the organization among a select group of cardiac programs recognized for excellence in quality, safety, and patient outcomes.

Recognition, Certification, and Professional Contribution

Evyatar’s technical and clinical expertise is supported by his certification as a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist. This credential reflects a deep command of EP systems, safety requirements, and procedural workflows. His training enhanced his ability to bridge communication between engineers, clinical teams, and executive leaders, enabling smoother implementation of new technology and stronger multidisciplinary collaboration.

His leadership also earned national recognition when he positioned the electrophysiology program for a feature in EP Lab Digest, a widely respected publication in the field. This spotlight showcased the program’s innovative practices and highlighted the significant advancements achieved under his strategic direction.

Commitment to Community, Culture, and Education

Beyond his work in healthcare, Evyatar supports a range of philanthropic causes. His contributions to Jewish organizations, including local Jewish Community Center and Chabad chapters, reflect a strong connection to identity and community. He also supports the performing arts in San Francisco, school-based charities, youth sports programs, and historical preservation projects throughout California. These efforts demonstrate his belief in the importance of culture, education, and civic engagement.

A Balanced Life and a Forward-Looking Vision
