Creating a Summary of Videos:
Step 1: Watch the Video
Watch the video and take notes on the key points and segments you want to include in the summary.
Step 2: Open Google Docs/Word
Go to Google Docs (docs.google.com) and sign in to your Google account.
Go to Microsoft Word
Step 3: Create a New Document
Click on the "Blank" template to start a new document.
Step 4: Add Timestamps and Summarize
Start with the timestamp (e.g., 00:02:30) and write the corresponding summary of the video at that point.
Use headings or bullet points to organize different sections of the summary.
Step 5: Format the Summary
Format the text to make the summary clear and easy to read.
Use bold, italics, headings, bullet points, etc., as needed.
Step 6: Add Timestamp Links (Optional)
If you want to include clickable timestamps, copy the timestamp (e.g., 00:02:30).
Highlight the corresponding summary text, click on "Insert" in the top menu, choose "Link," and paste the timestamp.
This creates a hyperlink that, when clicked, takes you to that specific point in the video.
By following these steps, you can timestamp your videos and create summaries using either Google Docs or Microsoft Word for a more formatted and collaborative approach. Choose the one that suits your needs and preferences.Â
