EVPlug is an electric vehicle charging application developed and operated by Bhavya Agrawal. The application is designed to help electric vehicle users discover nearby charging stations, view charging-station information, save stations, submit charging-station information, use location-based features, and access other EV-related functionality.
This Privacy Policy explains how EVPlug collects, uses, stores, processes, and shares information when you use the application.

EVPlug currently uses phone-number authentication with OTP (One-Time Password) for user account creation and login.

EVPlug allows users to provide information about their electric vehicle.

Vehicle information is used to provide EV-related functionality within the application.
For example, vehicle information may be used to help provide range-related or charging-related features.
You should only provide vehicle information that you are authorized to provide.
EVPlug uses location information to provide location-based functionality.
When you grant location permission, EVPlug may access your device's location.

EVPlug may use precise device location when the relevant feature requires it.

If you deny location permission, certain EVPlug features, particularly nearby-station and location-based features, may not work correctly.
EVPlug does not require you to continuously provide your location when you are not using a location-dependent feature.
EVPlug provides information about EV charging stations.
Charging-station information displayed in the application may come from:

Third-party services
External/public sources
Information processed through services used by EVPlug
Charging-station information may include:
Station name
Station location
Charging-related information
Connector or charging details where available

EVPlug attempts to provide useful charging information but does not independently verify every piece of information displayed in the application.
Charging-station information may therefore be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, unavailable, or changed by the station operator.
EVPlug may allow users to add charging stations or provide information about charging stations.
When you submit charging-station information, the information may be stored and displayed through EVPlug.
Information submitted by a user may be visible to other EVPlug users.
By submitting charging-station information, you understand that the information is being submitted for use as part of the EVPlug platform.
Users are responsible for ensuring that information they submit is accurate to the best of their knowledge and does not violate applicable laws or the rights of another person.
EVPlug may allow users to:
Take a photograph using their device camera
Select a photograph from their device
Upload a photograph associated with a charging station
A photograph submitted through EVPlug may be uploaded to services used by the application and may be displayed to other EVPlug users.
For this reason, user-submitted station photographs should be considered potentially public within the EVPlug application.
Please do not upload photographs containing:
Sensitive personal information
Private documents
Passwords or authentication codes
Financial information
Personal information belonging to another person without permission
Content that you do not have permission to share
EVPlug may remove photographs that are inappropriate, misleading, unlawful, or otherwise violate the application's Terms & Conditions.
EVPlug may allow you to save charging stations to your account.
When you save a station, EVPlug may store information associating that saved station with your account.
Saved-station information is used to:
Display your saved stations
Maintain your preferences
Provide the saved-station functionality
Saved-station information is associated with your EVPlug account.
EVPlug may process information relating to interactions with the application when necessary to provide its functionality.
Examples may include interactions required to:
Navigate between application features
Use account functionality

EVPlug does not intentionally collect information about your activity in unrelated applications on your device.
EVPlug does not read the contents of your SMS messages, personal emails, contacts, or other unrelated applications merely because OTP authentication is used.
EVPlug uses cloud and technical services to provide certain application functionality.
These services may include Firebase services provided by Google, such as authentication, cloud databases, and storage where applicable.
Depending on the feature being used, information may be transmitted from your device to these services.

Store user-submitted content

Maintain the operation of EVPlug

Correctly located
Correctly priced
Compatible with a particular vehicle
Representative of real-time charger availability
Charging-station information may change without notice.
Users should verify important charging information directly with the charging-station operator before travelling to or relying on a charging station.
EVPlug should not be the sole source used to make critical travel, charging, or safety decisions.
EVPlug is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization.
