This evolution guide covers every evolution item and evolution method so you can learn how to evolve every Pokemon in Legends: Arceus. Usually, a Pokemon simply needs to be raised to a certain level, but some need Friendship, an evolution item, or another weird method, like Stantler. Here's a list of how to evolve every Pokemon with unique methods in Legends: Arceus, starting with All New Pokemon and new methods.

Below, we'll treat this page as a kind of hub for all new evolution methods in the game, listing the basic details for how to evolve each Pokmon that gets a new method that's changed in any way since the previous games. We'll also link out to our dedicated guides for any specific Pokmon that need a little more detail.

There are hundreds of Pokmon to evolve in Legends: Arceus, and the vast majority of them evolve either by levelling up, like your starter Pokmon, or other traditional methods from earlier games that haven't changed, like Eevee's many evolutions or ones requiring high Friendship levels. We won't list those here given that for those Pokon, there's nothing new to report - simple level them up or give them the respective evolution items as you would have before.

This has changed slightly (in our opinion for the better!) from previous Pokmon games. In the past, you'd have to wait until the evolution criteria was triggered, and then the Pokmon would automatically evolve unless you cancelled it mid-evolution.

In Legends: Arceus, you have to manually evolve every Pokmon once you've met its evolution criteria. So, say your Bergmite reaches Level 37, you'll then need to go into your bag menu and interact with the Bergmite.

From there, you'll see its Pok Ball icon is glowing yellow - hover over the Pokmon and press X to go straight to the option to evolve it (or press A to open up the list of interaction options and select "Evolve" from that list). Confirm your decision, and it'll evolve! Simple as that.

I have around 2000 dust to spend and I want to know which deck to craft to reach legend this season for the first time (I usually finish rank 2 or 3 ). I am between two Tier 1 decks Evolve Shaman and Jade Druid, because I am close in dust needed and I don't like Razakus Priest nor Tempo Prince Rogue.

I would not craft Thrall right now because well, after next year's rotation they lose evolve and devolve and some of the staple cards to evolve like Dopplegangster. The deck may or may not work but that will depend heavily on what we will get. Shaman will basically lose all it's current good tools as the class has probably the worst core set in the game.

Trade evolution has been a part of the Pokemon series since Pokemon Red/Blue. With the second generation, a new component was added to trade evolution. Some Pokemon that can only evolve through trade also had to be holding a special item before they were exchanged between two players. For Pokemon like Kadabra and Machoke, Pokemon Legends: Arceus has made it possible to evolve without having to trade.

Machop would evolve into Machoke once it reached level 28. However, Machoke could not evolve into Machamp simply through leveling. Before players could find Machamp in Pokemon Sword/Shield's Wild Area, the only way of getting Machamp was by trading Machoke. This evolution method was difficult and impossible for those who played offline. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Machoke now evolves when it's given an item called a Linking Cord.

Updated May 23, 2022, by Renri Seong: Machoke is a pure Fighting-type Pokemon that's part of a three-stage evolution family. Unlike most Pokemon, however, Machoke doesn't evolve by leveling up. Before Pokemon Legends: Arceus, players had to trade their Machoke with another person to initiate its evolution. However, evolving Machoke in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is quite a bit easier thanks to a special evolution item, making it possible for players to evolve Machoke into Machamp without it ever having to leave the party. Those desperate to get their hands on a Machoke can simply catch it in the wild, but there are other ways to go about obtaining a Machoke and its evolved form. The following guide has been updated to include additional information about the Machoke evolution in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

In Castaway Shore is an NPC called Bosley, who will give Request 56: Getting Help from Machoke. Bosley wants to see Machoke's completed Pokedex entry, and he'll give Grit Gravel (x3) and Aux Powerguard (x1) as a reward. Alternatively, trainers could evolve their Machoke and catch/defeat the other ones found in the wild.

The Linking Cord is an obvious callback to the original way of trading Pokemon with the GameBoy. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, it functions similarly to evolution stones. Simply go into the Satchel, click on the Linking Cord, and drag it over to Machoke to evolve.

Both Machoke and its pre-evolved form, Machop can be caught in the Obsidian Fieldlands, the first area of Hisui. Once players have started Mission 5 and gain access to the rest of the Fieldlands, they can go to the Oreburrow Tunnel and find Machop. On the other side of the Oreburrow Tunnel is the Obsidian Falls, where players can find Machop and Machoke.

Depending on the player's Star Rank, Machoke may be too high a level for players to catch in the beginning. Thus, the other way to get Machoke early on is by catching a Machop. Unlike Machoke, who does not need to be at a certain level to evolve into Machamp, Machop evolves at level 28. Players can hasten the level-up process by feeding it Rare/Exp Candies, or by keeping it in the party when fighting stronger Pokemon. Using Machop to gather materials such as berries or apricorns gives it some EXP too.

To use a trade evolution item on a Pokemon, simply select the item and then apply it to the pal you'd love to see evolve. In this sense, every trade item now works the same way that Evolutionary Stones (Fire, Water, Thunder, so on) always have.

In Pokmon Legends: Arceus, you will be able to evolve Sneasel into two different options, which are needed to complete the Pokdex. However, acquiring one of the forms is slightly more complicated than the other and requires you to use a new mechanic introduced in Legends: Arceus. Sneasel can evolve into either Weavile or Sneasler, but both require an item to initiate the evolution. To get one of the evolutions, you will also be required to catch a Hisuian form to complete both evolutionary lines.

For a good overview of the Merit Points system, as well as some tips on where to farm Merit Points in Arceus, check out the video above from LordRespawn on YouTube. After finding or purchasing a Razor Claw, you can use it on Sneasel to evolve it into Sneasler.

If you are looking to evolve Sneasel into Weavile, you will need to catch an Original Sneasel first. The original Seanseal is only available to catch in Legends: Arceus' Space-Time Distortion, which makes the process a bit more arduous. Space-Time Distortions appear in the open world randomly, and even though you will get notified where Space-Time Distortion is forming, you still need to find it on the map and travel there. However, this is the only way to catch rarer Pokmon, such as the original Sneasel, and evolve them to complete the Pokdex. To know more about Space-Time Distortion and how to spawn them, check out the video from PhillyBeatzU below:

It is not guaranteed that you will find an original Sneasel inside Space-Time Distortion, as many random Pokmon will spawn. So, you will need to explore a few Distortions to spot the desired Sneasel. Once you catch a Sneasel inside the Time Distortion, you can evolve it into Weavile using a Razor Claw.

If you are looking to evolve both forms of Sneasel, keep finding and catching the Hisuian version until you have two Razor Claws. Although catching the Pokmon is the easiest way to find Razor Claws, you can also save Merit Points in Pokmon Legends: Arceus for one or both of the evolution items you will need for Weavile and Sneasler. Sneasel is one of several Pokmon that have multiple evolutions and forms in Pokmon Legends: Arceus.

The most straightforward evolutionary method in the franchise returns in Arceus. In order to have the option to evolve these Pokmon, you just need to level them up to the level listed next to their evolutionary forms.

Of special note is the new Linking Cord items, which basically replaces the need to trade certain Pokmon to evolve them. Instead of having to trade those Pokmon with a particular item attached, you just need to use that item on the Pokmon listed below that are compatible with it.

This is kind of a weird requirement, but there are some Pokmon in Arceus that can only evolve when they learn a specific move or use a specific move a certain number of times in battles. If you wish to evolve these Pokmon, be sure to remain mindful of how you use them in combat and expand their moveset.

For instance, in the case of the Eevee evolutions, you can only evolve Eevee into Leafeon and Glaceon if you use the correct item on them at the locations listed below (same story with Magneton). Nosepass and Sliggoo just need to be in these specific areas to evolve beyond their current forms.

Are you looking to make your beasties stronger and increase their levels? Have you been wondering how you can evolve beasties in your squad? Look no further! Here is a guide to help you get your beasties trained and evolved.

Once you have met all the requirements needed to evolve, view your squad again by selecting the Paw icon in your toolbar. Then, click the Evolve button again to watch your beastie transform right before your eyes!

Eevee has always been the Pokemon with the most evolutionary potential. They've stayed a fan favorite for decades thanks to their growing number of evolutions, each of which has unique stats, designs, and fighting styles that appeal to all kinds of trainers. Pokemon Legends: Arceus simply marks another game where catching every "eeveelution" has again become a possibility. Naturally, Pokefans want to know how they can evolve their Eevees into the seven existing evolutions this time. e24fc04721
