This project has been in development for approximately two years. Ben Glover has a huge knowledge of unusual electronic instruments both past and present and came up with the concept for this instrument.

Where we are today
The capacitance touch sensing of the finger pads is an established technology. Most of the R & D time has been spent investigating alternative ways to determine the presence of and speed of movement of a bow. This has to be very reliable as small outlier values, especially when the bow is stationary, will generate an audible note at the wrong time.
