About me
About me
Forever a creative, I'm a Stoke-based illustration graduate with a flair for the dramatic.
With a love for heavy black line-art, my work is inspired by a love for gothic horror and whimsical aesthetics. I work traditionally in primarily brush pen and printmaking, but love to experiment with paper crafts and with digital mediums. While a sketchy expressive illustration will never fail to catch my eye, I like to tie my own work down to delicate structure, then bring the drama with the contrast and concept. Still, I can't resist cute illustrations that are just for fun, and a lot of my experimental methods come out in them!
Visual communication has always been an important part of my life, and I chose it first at every turn in my education. Halfway through college, I switched career paths to pursue art, and found myself working towards becoming an illustrator specifically after completing my foundation degree. Art is important in so many aspects: for processing events we experience in life; self-expression, however you may present; and to tell the world the stories we live and imagine!
