Evgeny Romakin also was a capital procurement manager with Amazon, where he developed strategies for global capital procurement with a goal of several million dollar savings on multi-billion dollar projects and efficiently sourced capital equipment. Previously Evgeny Romakin worked as a procurement manager for Henkel Corporation, where he streamlined procurement and bidding process for manufactured chemicals that saved the company a lot across many categories of goods.
Fluent in English and Russian, Evgeny Romakin studied chemical engineering in Moscow at the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. He worked at Sumitomo Corporation and Caspian Pipeline Consortium, prior to moving to the United States to pursue an MBA at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona. There, he specialized in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain. Outside of work, Romakin enjoys skiing and reading as well as traveling.
