Students' Feedback
You can find my teaching evaluations here.
Here are some of the most memorable and rewarding comments I received over the years (either via official evaluations or via emails):
'Evgeniya's teaching was exceptional: she is dedicated, inspiring, and personalised. She has a natural gift for teaching, with lucid explanations that have never failed to illuminate the mathematics and logic behind our problem-set solutions. Evgeniya made the problem sets extremely enjoyable; her feedback on our summative assessments was always precise and invaluably helpful, and her passion for political economy has been phenomenally inspiring throughout the 21 weeks of the course.'
'I know that working as a TA is very time-consuming and stressful when doing your own Ph.D., so I am amazed that you did it so well. All your answers are quite smart and clear, and the extensions to some questions make me have a deeper understanding of the course material. By the way, I am going to ... apply for Ph.D. ..., and I really hope that I can be a TA like you in the future! You are the best TA I’ve ever met, so you are kind of my role model now : )'
'... She makes even very hard questions easy for us to solve. Overall very satisfied with her teaching style and methods.'
'Evgeniya is extremely good at communicating the concepts and logic of complex problems. Her explanations are clear and straight to the point, and she provides very effective answers to any further questions the students may have. Her classes are very engaging and she knows how to make maths interesting. She is very responsible and volunteers to stay longer after classes to explain problems that could not be covered in the one hour scheduled time. And even if her classes sometimes last almost two hours they never get boring. Beyond her ability to teach well she is also a very caring and charismatic person. I am extremely happy with the quality of teaching she delivers.'
'Evgeniya is just really good at explaining difficult concepts in simple words. ...'
'Evgeniya has made sure that those on the online class don't miss out anything and I personally have never felt as if I was missing out anything since the class is online. ... I really admire and respect Evgeniya for her teaching and her commitment for her students.'
'I wish that all of my teachers were like Evgeniya. She is dedicated, hard working, enthusiastic and supportive. She genuinely tries her best to make sure that we do well and enjoy every class! She has gone above and beyond to provide extremely detailed written feedback on all of my mock exam scripts which have really helped me to grasp the concepts and make progress in the course. ... Her classes are organised, structured and closely linked to the lectures and readings which has been a great support to me. She takes onboard any feedback we give her and has adapted accordingly, which is brilliant.'
