Ignite Startup Accelerator 

Embarking on a journey at Ignite Startup Accelerator meant one thing: unlocking a new terrain.

Over the 10 weeks of summer 2023, my team and I founded OVIO, transforming education in developing countries with an AI-powered tutor.

The Ignite Demoday marked a new beginning for me. My co-founders Rommo Shams, Arif Zafer, and I got to pitch our startup Ovio to an audience of 100+ people and be challenged by a panel of amazing judges.

JHC Space Challenge Prototyping 

Held by the Finnish science centre Heureka, X-ray equipment supplier Finnos Oy and the JHC prototyping laboratory, this challenge was an opportunity for my team to create ROBBISH (robot + rubbish).

It is a Space Junk Collecting Satellite designed to operate in Low Earth Orbit by tracking and capturing bits of non-functioning hardware and debris. It solves the problem of operational missions in orbit by eliminating the risk of collision with space junk. We presented our final prototype at the JHC Spring Seminar.

Dive into Entrepreneurship

I joined the LUT Entrepreneurship Society (LUTES) in 2022 and developed the LUTES brand through design, content and events.

I led the marketing campaigns for the Forward Startup Accelerator, Board Position Applications, and Startup Excursion in Helsinki. Currently, I lead article publications for the LUTES website and newsletter.

Journey with Google Developers

In 2021, I was selected to be the first lead of the Google Developers Student Club at LUT University. My team and I organized 11 events for student developers and built our LUT GDSC community with 188 active members.

In 2022, I became a mentor for 5 other GDSCs across Europe and co-organized a Mentors Gathering event in Warsaw, Poland.
