I have worked in classrooms and other educational settings for over twenty years, spanning preschool through college. For the past seventeen years or so, I have worked in elementary curriculum development. This site does not present curriculum! Nor does it replace classroom instruction or homework, unless you'd like to use it that way. Instead, it's meant to help families weave conversations about math into their daily lives. You are welcome to share the site and use it for educational purposes as you see fit, but you may not sell any material reproduced or adapted from this site. Home Based Learning
Share the site or activities on the site with families as a resource for learning at home.
Inspiration
Adapt the activities or use them to inspire your own assignments or tasks for your students. Many can be adapted for use in a specific grade level.
Homework
Consider inviting families to use these activities (or ones you or they design) as a form of homework if you choose to, or are required to, assign homework. Invite students to share their experiences with you and their classmates: synthesizing their experience for others solidifies learning, promotes discourse, and inspires new ways of thinking about mathematics for all.
