Overview — Every Record keeps your data on your local device. We use no analytics or tracking, and we never store your content (recordings, transcripts, or summaries) on any developer server. The only data sent to a developer-operated endpoint is a temporary Notion authorization code during Notion login (see "Notion login" below).
Data stored locally — The extension stores the following in chrome.storage.local: Gemini API Key, Notion access token (from login or API token), Notion page/workspace info, Google Drive access token, theme preference, selected AI model, and custom prompts. This data stays on your device.
Notion login (OAuth) — When you connect Notion with "Easy Login," Notion returns a temporary authorization code to the extension. To keep Notion's secret key off your device, the extension forwards this code to a developer-operated relay running on Google Apps Script, which exchanges it for an access token and returns it. The code and token are used only for this exchange and are not stored or logged on the relay.
Third-party services — When configured by you, the extension communicates with: Google Gemini API (audio transcription/summarization), Notion API (saving summaries and locating your page), and Google Drive API (file uploads). Each service's own privacy policy applies.
Microphone & screen recording — Permissions are requested only when you initiate a recording. Audio/video is sent to the Gemini API only if you explicitly run AI summarization.
No tracking — This extension uses no analytics, cookies, or tracking technologies.
Limited Use Disclosure — Every Record's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
