This App is provided by Pontus Bovin ("we", "us", "our").

This is information you actively enter into the App, which is typically associated with your user account:

* **Account Information:** When you register for an account, we collect your **Email Address** and a **Username**. Your email address is used only for authentication and account management (e.g., password resets) and is never displayed publicly.

* **User-Generated Content (Text):** All text you input when creating or editing a heritage site, such as its **Title**, **Description**, **Build Year**, **Style**, and **Architect**.

* **User-Generated Content (Photos):** The images you choose to upload, either as your **profile picture** or as **images for heritage sites**

* **Interaction Data:** Lists of sites you choose to **like**, **save**, or mark as **visited**. This data is linked to your profile to be displayed in your personal collections.

#### 2. Information Collected Automatically

This is data the App collects to provide core functionality and advertising:

* **Location Data (for Discovery):** The App requests access to your device's **Precise Location** to show you nearby heritage sites on the home screen and to center the map. This location data for discovery is processed locally on your device and is not stored permanently on our servers.

* **Location Data (for Content Creation):** When you choose to create a new heritage site, the **Precise Location (latitude and longitude)** of that site is collected and **permanently stored** in our database as part of the user-generated content.

* **Advertising Identifiers:** To show relevant ads, the App collects your device's advertising ID (IDFA on iOS or AD_ID on Android).

* **Usage Data (Analytics):** We collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to understand how users interact with the App, identify bugs, and improve performance.

### How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

* Provide, maintain, and improve the App's core features.

* Authenticate your account and protect it from unauthorized access.

* Link the content you create (sites, photos) to your profile.

* Display your personal collections (liked, saved, visited sites).

* Show you nearby sites based on your location.

* Display relevant third-party advertisements (Google AdMob).

* Analyze crashes and usage patterns to improve the App's stability.

### Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

* **Google Firebase**

* **Purpose:** Used as our backend service for secure authentication (Auth), database (Firestore), file storage (Storage), and app analytics (Analytics).

All data you provide (account information, user-generated content, interaction data) is stored securely in Google Firebase. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information.

### Data Retention

* **Account and Content Data:** All data associated with your account (email, username, photos, created sites, lists) is retained as long as you have an active account with the App.

* **Location Data:** Location data used for *discovering* nearby sites is not stored. Location data that is part of a *created heritage site* is stored as long as the site exists in the database.

* **Analytics Data:** Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 14 months.

### Advertising and Consent

The App displays advertisements to fund its development. For users in the EEA and UK, the App will request consent (via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework) before showing personalized ads. You can change your ad-tracking preferences at any time in your device's system settings.

### Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following data protection rights:

* The right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you.

* The right of rectification (to correct inaccurate information).

* The right to object to processing.

* The right of restriction of processing.
