Hi, I'm Jonathan Vardon, a freelance wine writer and blogger from the UK

Inspired by a 15-year-old bottle of Auslese Riesling in 2020, I began blogging to showcase how diverse and delicious wine can be. The blog led to scholarships and WSET qualifications. From growing up in Ireland and Ghana, studying in the USA and living in London, I have always been aware of diversity in food and drink - so I have made wine and its global multitude of grapes the focus of my blog. On my travels, I love to unearth obscure varieties and at home I have the privilege to write for a variety of publications.
