This company was founded with the purpose of finding relief options for families affected by terminal illness. Although the founder experienced this hardship firsthand through his mother's battle with lung cancer, further research needed to be conducted to fully understand the problems that families who have been through this unfortunate tragedy have faced. Through personal experience coupled with quantitative and qualitative data collected through research, the findings indicate that this underrepresented group has at least four unique problems:
75% of survey participants said they were not provided with an adequate central location to access information and resources to support them through the challenges of terminal illness and the impact it has on the family.
100% of participants indicated that they wish they had more meaningful items of memorabilia to honor and remember their loved one.
62.5% of participants rated end-of-life discussions as extremely challenging.
Most families affected by terminal illness experience profound feelings of powerlessness, stemming from their inability to control the progression of the illness, make decisions about treatment, or foresee the future with certainty.
