What is a Coordinator?

I am so glad you asked! A day-of-coordinator is your go-to-person for the entire day of the wedding! They will make sure that everyone (bridal party, vendors, friends, family, etc.) are where they need to be when they need to be there! They help answer any questions that may arise on the day-of, along with resolving any issues or hiccups that may come up. They are the ones who floof your dress before walking down the aisle, they give ceremony ques (telling bridal party when to go), they can set-up decorations if you would like, they curate a timeline specifically for you, they are your schedule maker and keeper, timeline creator, and so much more!  The Day-of-Coordinator takes care of all of the things that happen specifically on the day-of the wedding.

What is the difference between Coordinator and Planner?

A planner will give you guidance throughout the whole wedding planning process. This means guidance on invites, save the dates, decorations, linens, all of the things! Along with guidance a planner provides communication with all of the vendors of your choosing, they will help you research vendors, they will plan your entire wedding with you if that is something that you want them to do. They communicate with your other vendors throughout the entire process. A planner literally does it all, while a day-of-coordinator is exactly what it reads. A day-of-coordinator takes care of all things that happen on the day-of (what is listed in the question above). 

Why do I, the client, need to know the difference between the two?

You will need to know the difference because they have two completely different meanings and expectations. If you hire Everlasting Events as "just a day-of-coordinator" that means that we are not contracted to help you with any of the planning aspects. Some examples of the planning aspects are: Vendor research and guidance, communication with vendors, decor, invites, save the dates, signage, or anything else that does not happen on the day of.  This is why we work with you to create custom packages that are curated specifically to you and your desires.
