We are Evergardeners—cultivators, artists, builders, and dreamers who believe in the power of myth, interactivity, and collective storytelling. For Love Burn 2026, we’re bringing our lore to life with Evergarden: EverGuardians of Evercartin’ (name TBD) - a mobile art installation rooted in the evolving myth of the enigmatic spirit of the Tree that has been central to Evergarden's evolving narrative.
This year, the Tree Spirit rises from its temple to explore the Island of Broken Toys, towing behind it a caravan of modular art carts - each one a portal into a world of memory, humor, transformation, and play. These "Evercarts" are created by our community and brought to life through sculpture, sound, performance, and radical engagement.
Together, we’re building an experience that celebrates the beauty in the broken and the sacred in the silly. Through our moving temple of toys and tales, we hope to awaken joy, invite connection, and gift an evolving story to every participant we meet - at the burn and beyond.
Evergarden: EverGuardians of Evercartin’ (name TBD) is an evolving mobile installation that brings our camp’s mythical Tree Spirit out from the quiet corners of the burn and into direct connection with participants. This year, the Tree Spirit takes flight, metaphorically and literally, through a modular mutant vehicle project that combines sculpture, narrative, and interactive play. Each “Evercart” is a unique art trailer designed by members of the Evergarden collective, serving as a platform for small-scale installations, performances, and reflective experiences. Towed behind the main vehicle, or able to be pulled individually by hand or bike, these carts make it possible for art to find the people, instead of the other way around.
By decentralizing authorship and offering our campers the opportunity to dream up their own cart visions, we’re inviting deeper collaboration, ownership, and creativity. From visual storytelling to whimsical contraptions, the carts will collectively tell the story of a Tree Spirit adapting to a fragmented world - aligning with the 2026 Love Burn theme, Island of Broken Toys. Participants won’t just observe these carts; they’ll engage with them, ride them, contribute to them, or encounter something new each time they cross paths with our moving myth.
The project’s modularity means it can be constantly refreshed, adapted, and reconfigured. Whether it’s two carts or six, each with its own sensory or interactive theme, the installation is designed for flexibility both at the burn and beyond. Each cart is lightweight enough to be moved by hand, and durable enough to be reused in city parades, street festivals, and local art walks. By building on a scalable, mobile platform, we’re creating art that is not bound to a single place or moment.
The installation’s core structure - a Cushman Titan XL electric warehouse vehicle - allows us to create a sustainable, electric-powered art car with the potential to tow multiple lightweight trailers. All carts will be equipped with universal hitches, allowing them to connect in any order. This open system supports both practical transport and poetic storytelling, where each configuration becomes its own little myth in motion.
With over 95% of our camp members based in the arts-rich community of St. Petersburg, Florida, the installation has a strong post-event life. This project isn’t just for Love Burn - it’s for the streets, festivals, and block parties that make up our home city’s cultural fabric. For many in our community, traditional installations are too logistically demanding to share outside of the burn. This mobile, scalable format solves that by offering an approachable entry point to artistic expression and an ongoing platform for experimentation.
We’re building a space where creativity is modular, participation is flexible, and the story never truly ends. Whether you encounter the EverGuardians at Love Burn or on a city street months later, you’ll find something new, personal, and unexpected - an experience that carries the spirit of the burn beyond the playa and integrates it into the everyday world.
Deep within the ancient roots of the Evergarden resides a gentle, mythical being - an ancient Tree Spirit (Name TBD) known only to those with the eyes to see and the heart to believe.
By day, this creature lies curled in its verdant temple, entwined in a nest of twisted roots and glowing crystals. But as moonlight filters through the forest canopy, the spirit awakens. With a rustle of wings made from bark, branches, and starlight, it rises - not in fury, but in service.
Each night, the Tree Spirit glides amidst bowers, boroughs, and beaches, drawn by the echoes of laughter and fragments of memory. These relics of joy are collected and carried, filtered through stardust, not to mend what’s broken but to awaken what’s been waiting, cherished for what they once meant, and still might mean.
Our vision for Love Burn 2026 is to bring this story to life through a fully immersive art experience: The Tree of Evergarden transforms into a mobile, modular installation, a fantastical art car with a caravan of stories, each a traveling tale of transformation. This myth made manifest brings together sculpture, sound, light, and lived story, weaving the personal and the communal into a single, shape-shifting pilgrimage of play and remembrance. The installations will be a moving tribute to repair, renewal, and radical gifting - reminding participants of the beauty in broken things.
Each cart becomes a chapter in the Tree Spirit’s living story - shrines to hybrid toys, confessional spaces for broken memories, surrealist games, and miniature portals into lost worlds. Through these offerings, we ask participants not to fix the broken toy, but to honor it, reinterpret it, and gift it forward.
Let the Spirit of Evergarden fly once more - rooted in ancient lore, guided by joyful curiosity, powered by love, and made real by the hands and hearts of our community.
Our art is designed to be fully immersive and interactive, offering participants a chance to step into a living world of imagination and discovery. Each element of our installation invites visitors to explore, engage, and co-create - blurring the line between observer and participant.
Set within a landscape shaped by myth, memory, and wonder, the environments we create, whether mobile or stationary, encourages curiosity and personal reflection. Guests don’t just pass through or around us - they contribute, activate, and transform these zones through their presence and play.
In keeping with this year’s Love Burn theme, Island of Broken Toys, our art offers an emotional and creative sanctuary for those seeking connection, catharsis, or just a moment of unexpected delight. Whether someone arrives in character or stumbles upon us in quiet reflection, they’re invited to become part of the ongoing story.
Fostering meaningful interactivity - We want people to get involved! Not just with the art, but with each other. Whether through touch, play, or conversation, our spaces are designed to invite connection at every level. Whether you're helping fabricate a cart before the event or stumbling upon it in the middle of the night, you’re part of the story.
Nurturing individual creative growth - We encourage each of our campers to express their unique artistic voice. While we collaborate on shared visions, we also create space for individual contributions to shine - pieces that feel personal, distinct, and unmistakably theirs.
Gifting experiences, not just objects - Our goal is to leave participants with something more than a memory - an encounter, an emotion, a sense of wonder. Sometimes it’s tangible; sometimes it lingers unseen but unforgettable.
Honoring the gift of participation - When someone engages with our camp, we see it as a mutual exchange. We offer our art and presence with intention, and we welcome whatever participants choose to bring - stories, ideas, energy, or simply attention.
Encouraging introspection through art - Much of our design encourages looking inward. What story do you carry? What memory do you return to? Our hope is that something in the space will speak to that quiet part of each person.
Inspiring personal impact and presence - We believe every interaction leaves a mark. Through art, invitation, and intention, we encourage participants to consider how they show up - how they connect, contribute, and carry the spirit of the burn forward.

Evergarden is a variegated, botanical-grade art village rooted in immersive installations, interactive experiences, and collaborative storytelling. Our collective is proudly headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, where 95% of our campers live, create, and grow together.
2026 marks the SIXTH year that our long-running core group is returning to Love Burn together, and each year our roots grow deeper. The proximity of our members fuels the creative fire: we share resources, tools, workspaces, transport, and most importantly, time. This closeness allows us to dream bigger, build smarter, and fundraise collectively for the many interwoven projects that bring Evergarden to life.
Our core cultivators are committed to expanding the circle. Each year we empower more campers to step into leadership and artistic ownership, while also welcoming new collaborators from the vibrant St. Pete arts scene. Whether working on camp-wide projects or bringing their own visions to bloom, Evergardeners co-create a space where creativity and community thrive side by side.
In 2026, our collective joy, weirdness, and shared effort converge into something truly special. Love Burn is our canvas—and we can’t wait to add our colors to the Island of Broken Toys.
