BGS National Public School successfully hosted the Young Innovators STEM Lab (YISL) 2026, in collaboration with the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), the U.S. Embassy in India, and STEAM Varsity. The programme was aimed at fostering innovation, creativity and technology-driven learning among young students through an immersive, hands-on experience in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).
The learning journey progressed through four engaging phases.
Phase 1 – Orientation and Team Formation familiarised students with the programme and encouraged collaborative learning.
Phase 2 – Building AR/VR Apps: Learning by Doing provided students with hands-on exposure to immersive technologies and enabled them to develop their own AR/VR applications.
Phase 3 – Design Thinking, Pitch and Presentation encouraged students to apply design-thinking principles, refine their ideas and confidently present their innovations. The programme concluded with
Phase 4 – Wrap-Up and Next Steps, where participants reflected on their learning and explored possibilities for taking their ideas forward.
