Evenly Family is a household organization application developed and operated by Richard W. Stake, Jr. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Evenly Family.
Evenly Family allows users to enter household information, which may include:
Household member names and roles
Events and schedules
Tasks and responsibilities
Shopping-list items
Meal-planning information
Memories and notes
Document names, dates, and reminders
Weather locations selected by the user
Other information voluntarily entered into the app
Evenly Family begins with a blank household. The app does not contain preloaded personal or family information.
Some information may be stored locally on the user’s device so that the app can function and remain available between sessions.
This information remains on the device unless it is deleted through the app, the app is removed, or iCloud household sharing is enabled.
Evenly Family offers optional household sharing through Apple iCloud and CloudKit.
When household sharing is enabled:
Household information is stored using the user’s iCloud account.
The household owner may invite other iCloud users.
Invited participants may view or edit shared household information according to the permissions granted by the owner.
Participants should understand that information entered into a shared household may be visible to other household participants.
The household owner may manage participants or stop sharing.
Use of iCloud and CloudKit is also governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policies.
When a user enables weather features, Evenly Family may send the selected location or geographic coordinates to Open-Meteo to retrieve weather information.
Evenly Family does not require continuous background location tracking. Weather information is requested only for the location selected within the app.
Open-Meteo’s handling of requests is governed by its own terms and privacy practices.
Evenly Family does not:
Sell personal information
Display third-party advertising
Use information for targeted advertising
Track users across unrelated applications or websites
Use third-party advertising identifiers
Connect to Apple Mail, Notes, or Reminders
Collect payment-card information
Evenly Family does not currently use third-party analytics or behavioral-tracking services.
Household information stored in a user’s private iCloud database is associated with that user’s Apple account.
The developer does not use household information for advertising, profiling, or sale. CloudKit operational information may be available as necessary to operate, diagnose, secure, and maintain the app, subject to Apple’s privacy protections.
Users should send household invitations only to people they trust.
A participant who accepts an invitation may gain access to household information covered by that invitation. Household owners are responsible for selecting participants and managing their permissions.
Evenly Family is intended to be configured and managed by parents, guardians, or other responsible adults.
Adults may enter a child’s name or household-related information as part of family organization. Children should not independently provide personal information through the app without the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian.
Information remains available until it is deleted by the user, removed from the household, deleted through the app, or removed through applicable iCloud controls.
Evenly Family includes an option to delete locally stored app information. Household owners may also stop sharing or remove participants from a shared household.
Deleting the app may remove locally stored information but may not automatically remove information stored in iCloud. Users may need to delete the information through Evenly Family or their Apple iCloud settings.
Evenly Family uses reasonable technical measures and Apple-provided services designed to protect user information.
No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect their devices, Apple accounts, passwords, and household invitations.
Evenly Family currently relies on:
Apple iCloud and CloudKit for optional household storage and sharing
Open-Meteo for optional weather information
These services maintain their own terms and privacy policies.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Evenly Family’s features or data practices change.
The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
