At Even Cities Need Trees, we dream of a future where city life and nature harmonize. Through partnerships and donations, we hope to bring more community gardens to the dense urban landscapes of Ohio, expand our reach and frequency of affordable workshops, and host more community events for people to get connected and care for their neighborhoods. We believe everyone is capable of making a difference, and every life deserves the beauty that nature brings.

In their undergrad, Danielle Kremer (she/her) studied Earth and environmental science at The Ohio State University. After several years of working in the educaation sector both formally and informally, through museums, parks, and schools, she began dreaming of ECNT and the impact it could have on the community around her. She was working as an oil scientist at the time and began reaching out to friends and family to help get the company started. Now, along with teaching science at a local charter school, she is the creator, founder, and head of education for the company. She currently designs and leads programs for the company as well as maintaining the social media and scheduling of events.
Content Editor
In their undergrad, Rylen Quinn Thomas (he/him or they/them) studied psychology and comparative religion at Cleveland State University. After five years working as a home health aide and in day programs with individuals with disabilities, their disillusionment with the systems in place sent them back to their other lifelong passion: storytelling. They attended Wilkes University, where they earned an MFA in creative writing in May of 2026 and completed a full-length dystopian sci-fi and fantasy manuscript. Now, along with pursuing publication, they enjoy using their writing skills to connect with their community through teaching accessible writing workshops and assisting with the copywriting tasks for ECNT.
