Evelyn is a current senior at Capistrano Valley High School, and a leader in the Instrumental Music Program. 

She is a four-year member of the top Wind Ensemble and the combined Symphony Orchestra, as well as a three-year member and lead alto saxophone of the Jazz ensemble. She has formed various small ensemble groups including a six-person and then 11-person Jazz combo with her on alto saxophone; multiple saxophone quartets, quintets, and sextets that have played her original arrangements with her having played soprano, alto, and baritone saxophone parts; and a woodwind quintet where she played oboe. She has also participated in the CVHS Black and Gold Brigade marching band as a show soloist on alto and tenor saxophones her senior year, along with the Pep band where she plays soprano saxophone. 

In 2022 and 2024, Evelyn played in the CUSD Honor ensemble, first as second alto saxophone and then as first oboe. In 2022 she played oboe in the pit orchestra for a production of Once Upon a Mattress. Her junior year she completed the IB Music SL course, receiving a 5 on the final exam.
