From across the Atlantic, Soumaya was raised in Morocco and is studying Robotics Engineering (RBE) with a minor in Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE). Soumaya worked on the mechanical design and electical parts of this project. During this she learned how to implement different kinds of sensors.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Lexi is a student studying Robotics Engineering (RBE) and Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE). She focused on the software and electrical aspects of this project. Lexi learned how to train a custom dataset and implement machine learning to detect surface defects of an apple.
A Connecticut native and frequenter at Lyman Orchards, Tim is studying Robotics Engineering (RBE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME). Tim focused on the mechanical design and build of this project. While completing the project Tim learned how to create automation systems and the difficulties of going over budget.
