Journey's End was a studio production I was assigned to work on as part of my second year curriculum, in Dramaturgy I.

This show pushed me incredibly far as an artist. I lead a team of two other dramaturgs as we worked through a long and dense scirpt, full of historical and wartime references, slang, and complex and nuanced storylines.

We conceived an idea of "messed up living history"-- interactive dramaturgy that can immerse the team in the trenches of the Great War.

For my presentation, I had a tea party with the cast and crew, allowing them to pass around and play with objects mentioned in the script.

I had them popcorn read from my packet about British history and culture while at this immersive tea party. The next week, my two other dramaturgy teammates gave their immersive presentations, as a drill sergeant spouting draft requirements, and as an old forlorn soldier, taking the soldiers into the trench (the rehearsal room closet, decorated to look like a trench, with relatively the same square footage.)
