At a time of rapid change in the world today, humanity needs, more than ever, a unified vision of the nature and purpose of our lives and of the future of our society. Such a vision unfolds within the writings of Bahá’u’lláh, the Prophet and Founder of the Bahá’í Faith.
The Bahá’í community in the Evanston, IL is exploring Bahá’u’lláh’s spiritual teachings together with people of all backgrounds and beliefs and is learning how this vision of the oneness of mankind, best expressed by the principle of unity in diversity, can be translated into action for the betterment of the world. We lovingly invite you to join us in any of the activities and events. Across the globe, followers of Bahá’u’lláh and their friends are striving in earnest to contribute to the well-being of their communities and the advancement of society.
Regardless of race, ethnicity, social background, gender, religious belief—or no religious belief at all—the Bahá'ís of Evanston invite everyone to join in learning how to work side by side to build a community that is more united, peaceful, just, and prosperous.

The history of the Bahá'í community in Evanston is inseparable from the history of the city itself. Our stories are woven together with those of countless individuals and organizations who have sought to make Evanston a place where diversity is celebrated, differences become sources of strength, and every person has the opportunity to contribute to the common good.

The Bahá'ís of Evanston are engaged in a process of spiritual community building that is underway around the world. Through an educational process that connects children, youth and adults with the transformative power of the Word of God, everyone advances together on a path of learning, action and reflection.
Our devotional meetings, classes for children and teens, study circles, and other activities generally take place in homes, community centers, and other locations around Evanston.
This process of personal and collective transformation is open to everyone, and everyone is warmly welcomed to participate–being a member is not required. The Bahá'í Faith places great emphasis on the independent investigation of truth, so everyone’s path of exploration, worship and service is respected and honored.
