Welcome to Evans FCCLA
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a national Career and Technical Student Organization that provides personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation opportunities for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education. It offers community within students' schools to thrive personally, and to get involved with the community outside of school to help it thrive as well.
Our Mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
Focusing on the multiple roles of a family member, wage earners, and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.
Recruitment Opportunities...
Open House- We have our information set up on a table for display on open house nights for students to sign up before the school year officially starts. This is a great time to be filling out membership forms and receiving information on all of our upcoming events.
Middle School Tours- Our FCCLA team sends advocates for our club to the middle schools that flood into EHS to give a sales pitch of our club to rising ninth graders. Some students have probably seen us before! This is a great opportunity for 8th graders to go to gain knowledge of our program and contact us for more info.
Parent Night for Upcoming Freshman- These nights FCCLA also has displays to present for students to get their membership forms and learn about our club.
Club Week-During club week we have advertisements for FCCLA and take time to appreciate different groups around our school using our FCCLA platform.
Pep Rally Announcements- Our chapter makes an announcement to promote FCCLA at student pep rallies. We do giveaways as well on occasion to bring the fun into recruitment!
The Benefits of FCCLA
Leadership skills are developed, and personal leadership styles are encouraged at Evans
Loads of fun! We have many events where students get to hang out while doing volunteer work. We also have incentives for members where we get to enjoy ourselves. We have things like a bowling night
Gain understanding in relationships with others around and get plugged into a wider circle of quality friends.
Prepare for responsibilities that will be introduced in the real world and make them more employable candidates after high school.
