I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Statistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, advised by Claudia Solis-Lemus. Currently, my work focuses on the development of methods that leverage deep learning for phylogenetic inference. During my PhD, I've also studied sparse parameter estimation for high-dimensional mixed-effects models. In my free time, I enjoy reading, biking, playing basketball, and watching the NBA.
