OUR FOUNDATIONS PROGRAM’S PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS PREPARING STUDENTS WITH AUTISM AND RELATED DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO BECOME ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS ACROSS A VARIETY OF HOME, SCHOOL, AND COMMUNITY SETTINGS.
An individualized curriculum is developed and instructional methods are determined using stringent research-based procedures. Each child’s educational track will be continually monitored and modified to achieve the highest level of success.
Evangel Christian Academy is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated NILD Educational Therapist to join our elementary team. This position provides one-on-one educational therapy for students with learning differences, helping them build confidence, strengthen critical thinking skills, and achieve academic success in a Christ-centered environment.

Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Knowledge of learning differences and learning challenges
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
Ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining confidentiality
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and student records
Successful completion of a criminal background check
Preferred
Experience working with children in educational, therapeutic, or special education settings
Previous experience with educational therapy or intervention programs is a plus, but not required
Provide individualized one-on-one educational therapy using the NILD methodology
Develop meaningful relationships with students and families
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to support student growth
Prepare individualized therapy sessions and learning plans
Participate in NILD training and ongoing professional development
NILD certification is required for this position. Candidates who are not yet certified are encouraged to apply. Following the successful completion of a probationary period, Evangel Christian Academy will cover the cost of the required NILD training and certification. Employees receiving this benefit agree to remain employed with the school for 24 months after certification.
