Eva Air Baggage Policy Overview
To begin, let's explore Eva Air's overall baggage policy. Understanding the general guidelines will help you plan your packaging accordingly.
Carry-on baggage policy
Carry-on baggage refers to items that you can take with you on the plane and keep in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you. Eva Air has specific rules regarding dimensions, weight and restricted items for carry-on baggage.
Dimensions and weight restrictions
For most itineraries, the maximum carry-on baggage dimensions are 22 x 14 x 9 inches (56 x 36 x 23 cm). However, it is always advisable to check the specific restrictions for your route, as some flights may have slightly different limits.
The carry-on weight limit generally ranges from 15 to 22 pounds (7 to 10 kilograms), depending on your class of travel and destination.
Restricted items
To ensure safety on board, certain items cannot be transported in your hand baggage. These may include sharp objects, flammable substances and liquids exceeding the maximum permitted volume. It is essential to consult the list of restricted items provided by Eva Air to avoid any complications during the security screening process.
Additional carry-on items
In addition to your main carry-on bag, Eva Air allows passengers to bring one personal item, such as a small handbag.
Checked Baggage Policy
Checked baggage refers to larger items carried in the hold of the aircraft. Eva Air Baggage Policy has specific guidelines regarding the weight, size and number of bags allowed for checked baggage.
Weight and height limits
The weight limit for checked baggage varies depending on your travel class and destination. As a general rule, economy class passengers are generally allowed a maximum weight of 50 pounds (23 kilograms) per bag, while premium economy, business class, and first class passengers may benefit from weight tolerances higher.
In terms of size, checked bags generally must meet the maximum linear dimensions of 62 inches (158 centimeters) for length + width + height. However, it is important to check your specific itinerary requirements, as different routes or fare types may have slightly different limitations.
Number of bags authorized
The number of pieces of baggage you can check also depends on your travel class and destination. Economy class passengers generally have a baggage allowance of one to two bags, while higher classes may benefit from more generous allowances. It is essential to check your specific allowance before your flight to avoid any unexpected fees or restrictions.

These fees may vary depending on your class of travel, your itinerary and the extent to which your baggage exceeds the allowances. To avoid additional charges, it is advisable to pack within the specified limits or consider pre-purchasing excess baggage in advance if you anticipate needing more space.
