We recommend staying within walking distance of any of the metro stops in central Athens, except for Omonia (which is somewhat rough). The metro is a great way to get around and inexpensive. Taxis are less expensive than in the US and are everywhere.
Wedding events will be around the beach town of Platis Yialos. We encourage guests to stay nearby.
Room prices vary from €40 to €200 per night. Some advertised prices will include the 24% tax and some will not. The least expensive rooms are basic, small, and run by locals (not a professional hotel). If staying in one of these, you should bring your own soaps/shampoos and may want to bring a more comfortable pillow. You will need your own beach towel at most hotels.
It is possible that rooms will fill up, so we have holds on some rooms in Platis Yialos for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (September 1-4). See the list below and let us know if one meets your needs. If you would like to extend your stay let us know as soon as possible.
You can also arrange your own lodging. See the list of hotels below for some ideas.
