How to get to Olomouc
The best way to arrive in Olomouc from abroad is to fly to Prague/Vienna/Bratislava and take a bus/train from there to Olomouc:
Prague, Czechia (280 km): go to the Prague train station (Hlavní nádraží) and take a train from there: www.cd.cz or www.regiojet.cz
Vienna, Austria (260 km): take a bus directly from the airport to Olomouc (www.regiojet.cz) or go to the Vienna train station (Hauptbahnhof) and take a train from there: www.cd.cz
Bratislava, Slovakia (210 km): go to the Bratislava train station (Hlavná stanica) and take a train from there: www.cd.cz
Traveling within Olomouc
Most places are within walking distance but you can also use trams (ticket: 20 Kč, purchased in machines at tram stops or via the mobile app DPMO) or taxis (download the Bolt app).
About Olomouc
Olomouc is the historical capital of Moravia and the administrative center of the Olomouc Region. With its population of about 100,000 inhabitants (1/4 are students), the city ranks as the 6th largest in Czechia. June is a good time to visit because it is warm (around 25°C during the day).
