Local Parkruns
For those of you who are new, this is a club tour of all our local Pakruns, where we visit a new Parkrun each week. Parkrun is a free, organised 5k running event hosted by Parkrun every week at over 1,100 locations in the UK. It features lots of scenic venues and is run entirely by volunteers.
If you would like an official run time from the event, please ensure you register at www.parkrun.org.uk/register/ and bring your barcode with you. It is worth noting that not all locations accept barcodes on your phone, so be sure to check the website first.
Check out www.parkrun.org.uk/ for more info.
If you aren't up to running, please feel free to volunteer!

What to Expect from Group Rides and Runs
Every week the club will run at least one group ride and one group run. These will start from Streatham Campus, at the bottom of Stocker Road, at the time specified. There will be ride leaders who will know the routes. Please make sure you arrive on time to ensure you aren't left behind.
We will split up into different groups based on speed. We will try to aim for a steady, medium and fast ride/run every week.
It's part of the tradition - especially on longer rides.
water, snacks
tools: multi-tool, inner tube, mini pump, tyre levers
helmet (goes without saying!)
Useful Bike Maintenance Videos
This is an essential skill to have as punctures can happen at any time.
This seems simple but catches lots of people out.
It is important to have your brakes working well for the safety of you and your comrades.
For hydraulic disk brakes the process can be more complicated. A trip to the local bike shop may be required.
Once you've cleaned your bike, it may be nice to give the gears a little tune up.
