On the 21st of April 2022 at 10:30 the Funding working group of the network will hold a knowledge exchange meeting. This meeting will go into dept on issues of due diligence and fraud prevention in our funding practices. If you would like to join this meeting please register here

We collect the forms and links to our application procedures for funding in a common google catalogue. There is a google document where links to forms and systems can be added as well when they are online available.

The working group on capacity building has planned a spring session on localizing development. The date will be the 24th of March 2022 from 13:00 till 14:30. If you would like to join and you are not a existing member of the working group please register here.

As a reminder, the capacity building working group is gatering online training materials meant for CIGS and their partners. These materials can be viewed in the online database. To add new materials to the database please use this form.

Efforts are underway to look for partners in Sweden, Spain Norway, Finland, Ireland, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland and Austria.

The coordination group would like to ask for your help in expanding the network into new European countries and regions by spreading the announcement (English) (French) (German) among our international networks. A list is established where we collect all possible new members which you are kindly asked to update.

The coordination group as wel discussed the consequences for CIGS of the implementation of the anti money laundering directive and is seeking ways to influence the rather strict interpretation by national authorities and financial institutions in many European countries. Such strict interpretations lead to difficulties in money transfer for CIGS to their projects.

A new meeting of the temporary coordination group is being planned on the 25th of January 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00. If you would like to participate in this meeting please mail the secretariat.

In order to be able to build the website all members are kindly asked to provide pictures and logos. These can be uploaded in the google directory, or sent to the directory.

Just after the launch of the Network two new organisations informed us that they would like to join the network. The Small International Development Charities Network from England and the Consorzio ONG Piemontesi from Italy joined. We welcome these new members.

Please help to further expand the network into new European countries and regions by spreading the announcement (English) (French) (German) among our international networks. For the announcement a visual is prepared which can be downloaded.

Currently the network consists of the 12 member organisations and a research partner the Radboud University from Nijmegen the Netherlands . If you have suggestions for new members please provide them in this document.

On the 14th of October 2021 at 10:30 the Funding working group of the network held a knowledge exchange meeting. This meeting went into dept on the assessment criteria that we apply and how we guarantee transparency towards the applicants.

On the world day for the eradication of poverty at Sunday 17th of October, the European Network for Citizen Initiatives in Global Solidarity has been launched.

This was and is done through social-media posts, website news items and newsletters of all the 10 member organisations. They are conveying this announcement (English) (French) (German) among stakeholders and members of their international network. For the announcement a visual is prepared which can be downloaded.

Currently the network consists of the 10 member organisations. The coordination group is looking for new members to further extend the network in Europe. If you have suggestions please provide them in this document.
