Chattanooga is a mid-size city known for its vibrant downtown with thriving tech, foodie, art, and start-up scenes.
Nestled between the foothills of southern Appalachia and the Cumberland Plateau, Chattanooga is an outdoor lover’s playground, where celebrated climbing, hiking, biking, and paddling abound. There’s a reason it’s called the Scenic City. Park your car and explore friendly streets on foot, on the free electric shuttle,or via the bike share system—with rental stations on campus. The Tennessee Riverwalk, Innovation District, events at Miller Park and Plaza, and the Bluff View Arts District are just steps away.
Our city's renaissance has received international acclaim, and there’s more to come. Outside magazine named us the Best Town Ever, twice. Forbes says we’re the best work-from-home city in the U.S., and the New York Times, Fortune, Lonely Planet, and Southern Living all agree — we're a top destination.
