Local Information

Conference venue: The conference will be held at the  Riessersee Hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.  All conference events will be held at the hotel from 3:30pm-10:00pm and dinner will be provided on site. Rooms will be booked for all participants directly by the organizing  committee. Check-in to the hotel starts at 3pm on the day of arrival but participants who are arriving earlier may leave their luggage at the hotel. 

Getting to the hotel: The  Riessersee Hotel is in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany which is about 2 hours from Munich by train. We recommend that participants either take a train to Munich Central Station or fly into Munich airport and then take a local train to Munich Central Station. 

• From Munich Central Station via train:

  • The regional train RB6 runs from Munich Central Station to Garmisch-Partenkirchen about once every hour. From there one can either walk directly to the hotel which takes about 30 minutes or take the RB60 to Garmisch-Partenkirchen Hausberg and then walk 20 minutes to the hotel. 

• Car:

  • For those who are driving, the hotel has parking for €5 euro a day
