I understand teaching as an ongoing dialogue that invites curiosity, empathy, and intellectual rigor. In the classroom, I aim to cultivate a space where students feel both challenged and recognized, a setting in which questioning, attentive listening, and the exchange of ideas become part of a shared pursuit of understanding. My approach emphasizes critical engagement through discussion and writing, encouraging students to see how abstract concepts can illuminate concrete experiences and how theory becomes meaningful when it touches lived reality.
Having completed the Teaching Practicum supported by the APSA Special Project Funds at the University of Houston and Houston Community College, I am committed to fostering inclusive and accessible learning environments across diverse classrooms. Ultimately, my goal is to guide students toward becoming thoughtful citizens who can reason with others and imagine a more just and empathetic political world.
