Luigi De Russis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN) of Politecnico di Torino, Italy. His current research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, with a particular interest on how to overcome interaction challenges in complex settings, such as within IoT systems and smart environments. Among others, he chaired the “Who Cares? Exploring the Concept of Care Networks for Designing Healthcare Technologies” workshop (ECSCW ’19) and the Student Research Symposium at IEEE COMPSAC 2017.
Giuseppe Desolda is a Research Fellow at the Computer Science Department of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”. His research interests lie in HCI, specifically Interaction with Ubiquitous Systems, IoT, EUD, and UX. Among others, he chaired the “Human-centered cybersecurity” (CHItaly 2019) and the “SERVE: Smart Ecosystems cReation by Visual dEsign” (AVI ’16) workshops.
Alessio Malizia is a Full Professor of User Experience Design at University of Hertfordshire and a distinguished speaker of the ACM. His research and teaching interests focus on Human-Centred Systems. He is interested in the design of Ubiquitous Interactive Systems with a special focus on EUD and on systems where the physical and digital become seamlessly intertwined in a new hybrid landscape. Among others, he chaired the “HCI and the Educational Technology Revolution” (AVI ’16) workshop and the IS-EUD 2019 conference.
Maristella Matera is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB) of Politecnico di Milano. Her research focuses on aspects at the intersection between Web Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction, with emphasis on design methods and tools for the development of systems based on Web, mobile and IoT technologies. Among others, she was program co-chair of AVI 2018, the international conference on Advanced Visual Interfaces.
Alberto Monge Roffarello is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer and Control Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. His research focuses on Semantic Web and Human-Computer Interaction, with a particular interest on end-user personalization of IoT ecosystems.
