About
I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Southern Methodist University (SMU) and a Fellow at the George W. Bush Institute. My research agenda centers on resource and behavioral economics within the broader contexts of economic development, political economy, and applied econometrics and time-series models. My current work examines how energy commodity market dynamics — particularly oil and ethanol — and shocks influence economic, political, and social outcomes across multiple dimensions, e.g., election, crime, income, employment, and firm performance.
