Abstract (discussion topics and talks) submission deadline: March 2nd.
Registration deadline: March 13th.
In anticipation of the first results from Euclid DR1 in late 2026, and early science results in 2026 from the Rubin/LSST alert stream and commissioning data (DP1 and DP2), we are excited to organise coordinated meetings of LSST:UK and Euclid-UK in April 2026. The week of 13-17th April will bring the two annual meetings of these collaborations to the University of Manchester, in addition to a special one-day Joint Euclid/LSST meeting, and a half-day Lasair Users Meeting. We encourage everyone to join the joint Euclid/LSST dinner on the evening of Wednesday April 15th.
LSST:UK All Hands Meeting, Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th of April (two full days):
The main aims of this highly interactive meeting are 1) to enable colleagues to engage with LSST data ready to achieve early scientific results in 2026, and 2) to take an important step in building an active community here in the UK. The meeting programme will prioritise practical and discussion sessions, including: "how to" tutorials that focus on data products available now via the Rubin Science Platform and the Lasair alert broker; sharing lessons learned by expert users; sharing and discussing essential information to help new people learn their way around the LSST Science Collaborations; updates and discussions of the LSST:UK communications strategy and Education & Public Outreach plans; opportunities for Early Career Researchers to join and shape the recently formed Junior Associates Network; fun ice-breaker activities to help us all meet new people. The programme will include discussion topics and a small number of contributed talks, of broad interest across the community, that are proposed by meeting participants. Discussion topic suggestions and talk abstracts may be submitted on the abstract submission form. Attendance of this meeting requires data rights for neither LSST nor Euclid.
Euclid UK Annual Meeting, Thursday April 16th and Friday April 17th (two full days):
The Euclid UK Annual Meeting will bring together members of the UK Euclid community to present and discuss ongoing scientific and technical activities. The programme will include overview, invited, and contributed talks, providing an opportunity to share progress and strengthen collaboration across the UK. The meeting will include updates on the status of the Euclid mission, including the latest information on instrument performance. A key focus will be early scientific results from Data Release 1 (DR1), with contributions from both cosmology and legacy science groups, highlighting the breadth of UK-led Euclid science. Invited talks will be given by UK-based Science Working Group leads, alongside contributed talks from the wider community. Dedicated opportunities will be provided for Early Career Researchers to present their work, with time allocated for discussion and informal interaction throughout the meeting. Attendance of this meeting is restricted to Euclid members.
Joint Euclid/LSST UK Meeting, Wednesday April 15th (one full day):
The main aims of this discussion meeting are to identify joint Euclid/LSST science cases in which the UK can lead and to brainstorm ideas for how we can work more closely together on these science topics, especially bearing in mind the current funding climate. The programme will include some brief presentations to update the Euclid and LSST communities on the status of the respective other survey and its data products, and to provide an overview of the Euclid/LSST derived data products (DDP) process. There will be time for a few contributed talks about science highlights. The afternoon will be devoted to structured parallel discussions. Proposed discussion topics and offers to lead discussions may be submitted on the abstract submission form. Attendance of this meeting requires data rights for neither LSST nor Euclid.
Lasair Users Meeting, Wednesday April 15th (afternoon only):
This year's Lasair Users Meeting will run on the afternoon of Wednesday April 15th, in parallel with the Joint Euclid/LSST discussions. Hands-on introduction to Lasair and lessons learned by expert users will have been included in the LSST:UK AHM (see above). This Lasair Users Meeting will be a deeper dive for new and experienced users who may wish to prioritise this over participating in Euclid/LSST discussions. Discussion topics and hands-on sessions may be proposed on the abstract submission form. Attendance of this meeting requires data rights for neither LSST nor Euclid.
