This is my 17th year teaching kindergarten. I have now taught all kinds: half day, full day, in person, hybrid, remote, in person with live streaming, masked, and unmasked. I serve on many committees within my district and beyond. I am a ClassTag Lead Adviser. I serve on the McGraw Hill Teacher Advisory Board for Literacy and HMH Educator Input.

For ELA instruction in my district, we use Wonders 2020 with supplements for PA (Heggerty Phonemic Awareness) and Phonics (ECRI). I also have a Tools 4 Reading sound wall and have been trained by Dr. Mary Dahlgren.

I have my Masters in Reading. I completed the Reading Teacher’s Top Ten Tools during the summer of 2021. I completed my Orton Gillingham Reading Level 1 training in May and my Orton Gillingham Math Concepts in October.

I have been on my Science of Reading journey for over 3 years. I have attended more than 50 trainings (too many to list here) but some of my most impactful are PaTTAN Literacy Symposium 2022, PaTTAN Scarborough’s Reading Rope Series, and Really Great Reading Company. I am working on my LETRS training modules currently. I am finished with modules 1, 2, and 3.
