White Paper 白纸
Old magazines /newspapers (ensure papers are easy to tear) 旧杂志/报纸(确保容易撕开)
Glue 胶水
Provide your child with a variety of old magazines or newspapers and invite them to tear the papers. Tearing strengthens wrist and finger movement which will help with later writing and drawing skills.
为您的孩子提供多种杂志或报纸,然后邀请他/她将纸张撕开。这可以加强手腕和手指动作,帮助孩子日后的写字与画画能力。
Let your child decide which picture they want to tear out and allow them to do it on their own as much as possible.

Provide your child with white paper and show them how to hold the paper with one hand while applying glue with the other. Help your child hold the paper if necessary.

Invite child to paste the torn paper onto the paper with glue on it and create their own design.

Provide your child with variety of papers to tear from. Provide stronger papers that will require some effort to tear when you feel your child is ready for it.

Continue to strengthen your child’s finger and wrists muscles through manipulating with play dough. Finger and wrist strength are important for future writing activities.

Ziploc bags (heavy duty if possible) 自封袋 (尽量使用厚重型自封袋)
Everyday dried food items e.g. beans, seeds, rice, lentils, pasta or any other items that can be placed inside the Ziploc bag and shaken to make different sounds e.g. beads, stones, Legos... 干货,如:豆子,意大利面,小扁豆。或是其他可以放进自封袋里摇出声音的物品,如: 珠子,小石头,乐高。
Duct tape 布膠帶
Preparation 开始之前:
Decide on the number of Ziploc bags you wish to use (preferably 3 at least).
决定要使用几个自封袋(至少3个)。
Use heavy duty Ziploc bags if possible. If not duct tape 3 sides of the bag by just folding half of the duct tape on either side of the bag. Leave the zipper side open.
尽量使用厚重型自封袋。如果没有厚重型自封袋,可以将布胶带粘在自封袋的三边,留下开口(图片参考)。
Steps 步骤:
Provide your child with varied dried materials e.g. pasta, rice, lentils …. anything that is available at home.
为您的孩子提供不同种类的干货,如:意大利面、小扁豆或是家里能找到的东西。
Invite your child to fill half the bags up with each item provided. 1 item for 1 bag.
邀请您的孩子将提供的每个物品装满袋子的一半。一样物品一个袋子。
Zip the zipper and duct tape over it by folding the duct tape from one side to another.
将自封袋封锁然后用布胶带将开口封死。
Trim off any excess duct tape before giving it to your child.
在给孩子自制豆袋前,将多余的布胶带剪掉。
Invite them to shake and listen to the sound it makes and feel the items through the plastic.
邀请您的孩子摇一摇豆袋,听听发出来的声音并且透过塑料去触摸物品。
Extension 1: Create a throwing game with the bean bag

Place a basket or a large plastic bowl on the floor.

Show your child where to stand and try to throw the ‘bean’ bag into the basket.

Tin Foil 铝箔纸
Hard cardboard from recycled cereal box 硬纸板 (麦片盒)
Coloured markers 彩色马克笔
Wrap a tin foil around a small piece of cardboard e.g. taken from cereal box.
用铝箔纸包裹一片硬纸板。
Invite your child to use the markers and design or colour the tin foil.
邀请您的孩子用马克笔在铝箔纸上作画。
Show your child how to hold on to the cardboard with the foil on it with one hand while colouring with the other.
示范给您的孩子如何用一只手按住纸板再用另一只手画画。
You may have to hold on for your child if necessary.
有必要时,帮助孩子按住纸板。
Continue providing your child with experiences which will require them to practice holding on to an item with one hand and doing something with the other e.g. drawing – hold the pencil in one hand and the paper with the other hand

Focus on 2 colours – red, and yellow

Do various other scavenger hunt e.g. shape (2 shapes or just 1) scavenger hunt e.g. bring me something square, or round etc... Keep it simple.

Inform your child that we are going to be playing a colour scavenger hunt. Whereby you will mention a colour and your child will have to find an item of that colour and bring it to you.

To practice – model how it is done e.g. say a colour then look for that colour with your child. Do this until your child understands what needs to be done.

If this is challenging for your child, make it simpler by placing 3 items of each colour in front of the child. Call out a colour and have your child point to the item accordingly.
