Highlight all the new words on the magazine that the child has learned.
Write a list of new words that the child has learned in his/her book and make a word bank.
Get the Reader Digest magazine or any magazine.
Spend some time to read the cover of the magazine.
Help your child to find an article that he/she will be interested to want to know more.
Explain how to find different articles by going through the content page.
Ask questions related to the article read, to understand child’s comprehension skill. For Example:
(a) Why have you chosen this article to read?
(b) What do you think the article is talking about?
(c) Highlight on the advertises in the magazine and discuss why there are advertise in the magazine?
Explain meaning of any unfamiliar word to build their vocabulary.
Help your child reflect on what he/she read. E.g. "What is your opinion about the article that we read?"

Download different logo from internet.
Sit with the child to understand the logos.
Encourage him/her to draw out 5 logos on drawing paper.
Encourage him/her to write what each logo stands for.
Cut out the signs and stick them on the popsicle sticks.
Name some of the things that can be represented by a logo.
Be creative and convert a text written in code, for example: “It's not healthy to have McDonald’s”
Be creative and design a class logo.

Encourage your child to design another board game and write the rules of how to play the game.
Take a hard board/thick paper and draw a snake like pattern with the black marker.
Divide it into 20 boxes. Make a start and a finish spot.
Skip count to 5’s. Write numbers on the boxes e.g 5, 10, 15, 20 till 100. But keep some boxes empty, that means no number in the box.
4. Start playing the game. Take turns to roll the dice and move that many spaces. If you land on an empty box, say the missing number.

Bake it for 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Enjoy the snacks together and discuss how he/she felt of the experience.
Discuss on various toppings that can be added to your pizza.
