In each of the rooms, authentic objects are exhibited and information is provided about their history, use, and relevance in the daily life of the locality. This thematic exhibition allows visitors to contemplate and study closely the different elements, providing a comprehensive and detailed insight into agricultural activities, loading, weighing and measuring, home life, and traditional craftsmanship.
IN THE “AGRICULTURAL” ROOM the main focus is field work, and information panels and elements related to different agricultural activities are displayed. Some of the themes and items on display include:
- Preparation of the raisin: This section explains the process of making the raisin, from harvesting the grapes to drying. Elements such as cane sticks used for drying grapes and tools used in the process are exhibited.
- Plowing the land: Agricultural tools used to plow the land, such as plows, are presented. Information panels would explain plowing techniques, the importance of properly preparing the soil and how it influences agricultural productivity.
- Threshing on the threshing floor: Elements related to the threshing of wheat on the threshing floor are exhibited, which is the process of separating the grain from the chaff. Tools such as flails, winnowers or fans used in this traditional activity are on display.
IN THE "LOADING" ROOM, various gears used for loading and transporting weight with the help of mules or other pack animals are exhibited. Some of the elements that can be found in this room include:
- Sària: The sària consists of two esparto sacks specifically designed for carrying objects on the back of animals. Its usefulness lies in allowing animals to transport objects efficiently and comfortably.
- Anganilles: Anganilles are structures composed of two wooden arms. They are designed to place heavy loads at both ends and be supported by an animal in the center. By distributing the weight evenly, angarillas facilitate the transportation of bulky or heavy objects.
- Aiguaderes: Aiguaderes are a type of angarilla consisting of six conical, bottomless esparto baskets. They are placed on both sides of the mule to transport water jars or other liquids. This design allows for the secure and efficient transportation of liquids.
IN THE "WEIGHTS AND MEASURES" ROOM, various tools used for weighing goods and measuring liquid capacity are exhibited. Some of the elements that can be found in this room are:
-Scales: Different types of scales, such as beam scales and weighing scales, are displayed in this room. These scales play a crucial role in measuring the weight of various products and materials. For example, scales and weighing use the comparison of masses to determine the weight of an object
- Weights: Weights are essential for calibrating the scales and ensuring precise measurements. These weights can be made of different materials, such as iron or stone. They are classified into various weight units, such as grams, kilograms, or pounds. Proper calibration of the weights is essential to obtain reliable results in trade and other applications.
- Liquid measures: Different traditional containers used for measuring liquid capacity are also exhibited in this room.
IN THE "HOME" ROOM, a variety of household items used in different aspects of daily life are exhibited. Some of the elements that can be found in this room include:
- Kitchen utensils: Utensils such as pots, pans, knives, spoons, forks, among others, are exhibited. These utensils are used for food preparation and cooking at home.
- Furniture: Different pieces of furniture used in the home, such as tables, chairs, among others, are displayed. These elements are essential for comfort and organization of spaces in a dwelling.
The display of these household items in the "home" room allows visitors to explore and learn about the essentials used in daily life in the domestic sphere.
IN THE "CRAFTS" ROOM, a variety of items related to traditional skills and crafts are exhibited.
- Sausage-making: Here you can see tools and materials used in the process of making sausages.
- Palm and esparto weaving: Examples of palm and esparto weaving showcase the techniques used in basketry. These natural materials are intertwined to create decorative and functional objects such as baskets, hats, and rugs.
- Dry stone wall construction: Dry stone walls are an ancient and sustainable technique for building structures without using mortar. In this display, elements such as mallets and stones used to construct these walls are exhibited. It's impressive how artisans assemble the stones without any adhesive to create durable walls.
- Beekeeping: Beekeeping involves caring for bees and honey production. Here you will find beehives and specific tools used in beekeeping. From hives to smokers, these objects are essential for maintaining and harvesting hive products like honey.
