Destiny Apps Studio ("we," "us," or "our") built the Grade 7 & 8 Textbooks app as a Free/Ad-Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by Destiny Apps Studio at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. However, our app does not require you to create an account, register, or manually submit your name, email address, or phone number to use the core textbook features.
The information that we request is retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way, except through integrated third-party SDKs as described below.
The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you, primarily for app analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and advertising.
Google AdMob: We use AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and use advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and interactions with ads to provide relevant advertisements.
Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: We use Firebase to understand how users interact with the app and to log crashes. This helps us improve app stability. Firebase may collect device information, IP addresses, and app usage data.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) & Remote Config: We use FCM to send important push notifications (such as app updates or new material availability) and Remote Config to adjust app behavior dynamically. This generates a unique FCM token tied to your device installation.

Storage Permissions (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE):
Why we need it: To allow you to download, save, and access the Grade 7 and Grade 8 textbook PDF files for offline reading.
Note: The app only accesses files related to the educational materials it provides.
Media Permissions (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO):
Why we need it: On newer Android versions (Android 13+), these permissions replace standard storage access to handle media files efficiently within the app's document viewer.
Network & Internet Access:
Why we need it: To download textbooks from our servers, fetch configuration updates, send push notifications, and display advertisements.
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.
This Service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use "cookies" to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device.

Ethio Grade 7 & 8 does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our records. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions.
