Welcome to Ethio Entrance. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection and use of your information. We have designed this educational application with a privacy-first philosophy, specifically tailored for high school students preparing for the UEE and ESSLCE exams.
2. Information We Collect
Ethio Entrance is designed to function without requiring personal user accounts.
No Accounts Required:We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide your name, email address, or phone number.
Local Storage: Your learning progress and downloaded materials are stored locally on your device.
Permissions:The app requests access to your device's Storage/Media(`READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` / `READ_MEDIA_IMAGES`). This permission is strictly used to allow the app to access, download, and display educational PDF files and related resources necessary for your studies. We do not access your personal photos or unrelated files.
3. Educational Content & Firebase Storage
To provide you with high-quality educational materials, Ethio Entrance hosts PDF books, notes, and past exams on Firebase Storage (a Google service).
When you open a book or resource in the app, it is securely downloaded from Firebase Storage to your device.
Firebase Storage may collect basic usage data (such as bandwidth usage and download requests) for operational and security purposes, as governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
4. User Feedback & Firebase Realtime Database
We provide an optional "Rate Us" and Feedback feature within the app to help us improve Ethio Entrance.
If you choose to submit feedback, we collect the star rating you provide, your written message, and a timestamp.
This feedback is sent securely to our Firebase Realtime Database(a service provided by Google).
Anonymity:This feedback is submitted completely anonymously. We do not collect or attach your device ID, IP address, or any personal identifiers to this feedback.
5. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
To keep Ethio Entrance completely free for all students, we display advertisements provided by Google AdMob (including banner, interstitial, and native ads).
While our app itself does not collect your personal data, Google AdMob and its advertising partners automatically collect technical data—such as device identifiers (Advertising ID), IP addresses, and app usage data—to serve ads, prevent fraud, and measure advertising effectiveness.

Ethio Entrance is an educational app intended for high school students (Grades 9-12). Therefore, our target audience is users aged 13 and older.
