The CHRD International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (CIJMR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity in scholarly publishing. The journal operates in accordance with the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. General Ethical Principles
All research published in CIJMR must:
Be original in nature
Be conducted in accordance with accepted research ethics
Maintain transparency and accuracy of data
Demonstrate academic integrity and professional conduct
Fraud, deception, or any form of unethical behavior is not acceptable in CIJMR.
2. Duties of Authors
Authors must:
Submit original and previously unpublished research
Not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal
Properly acknowledge all sources, data, and references used
Ensure appropriate contribution and authorship credit for all listed authors
Declare any Conflict of Interest, if applicable
Obtain relevant ethical approval where human or animal subjects are involved
3. Plagiarism Policy
CIJMR follows a strict anti-plagiarism policy
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software
Acceptable similarity is generally within 10 to 15 percent, excluding references
Manuscripts found with excessive plagiarism will be rejected outright
4. Data Fabrication and Falsification
The following practices are strictly prohibited:
Fabrication or manipulation of research data
Intentional alteration of research results
Concealment of significant research findings
In such cases, the manuscript may be rejected and the author may be barred from future submissions.
5. Duplicate or Redundant Publication
Manuscripts that have been previously published or partially published are not acceptable
Slightly modified versions of the same research work will not be considered
6. Peer Review Ethics
CIJMR follows a Double-Blind Peer Review process.
Responsibilities of reviewers include:
Providing objective, constructive, and timely reviews
Maintaining confidentiality of the review process
Declining reviews in case of Conflict of Interest
Informing the editor of suspected plagiarism or ethical violations
7. Editorial Ethics
The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board shall:
Make publication decisions based solely on academic merit and ethical standards
Avoid personal, financial, or institutional bias
Maintain confidentiality at all stages of the editorial process
Address ethical misconduct in accordance with COPE guidelines
8. Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must:
Disclose any Conflict of Interest that could influence research or editorial decisions
Refrain from participating in the relevant process where such conflicts exist
9. Retraction, Correction, and Expression of Concern
If serious errors or ethical violations are identified after publication:
The article may be retracted
Corrections or Expressions of Concern may be issued as appropriate
All actions will follow a transparent process in line with COPE guidelines
10. Complaints and Appeals
Authors or readers may submit ethical complaints via email
All complaints will be investigated impartially
COPE recommendations will be followed where necessary
11. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Any use of AI tools must be transparently declared by the authors
AI tools cannot be listed as authors
Full responsibility for the research and its ethical integrity rests with the human authors
12. Policy Revision
CIJMR reserves the right to revise this Ethics and Malpractice Statement as required. All revisions will be published on the journal website.
