What is Etherscan
Etherscan is the leading block explorer for the Ethereum Blockchain. A block explorer is a search engine that allows users to easily look up, confirm, and validate transactions that have taken place on the Ethereum Blockchain. We are independently operated and developed by a team of individuals who are truly passionate and excited about the kinds of decentralized information and infrastructure applications that Ethereum makes possible.
And just like you, we are "users" of the Ethereum Blockchain. Etherscan is not funded, operated, or managed by the Ethereum Foundation but instead exists as an independent entity. The Ethereum Blockchain has a public ledger (like a decentralized database) which Etherscan.io indexes and then makes available this information through our site. Our mission is to facilitate Blockchain transparency by indexing and making searchable all transactions on the Ethereum Blockchain in the most transparent and accessible way possible.
Etherscan is not a wallet service provider, we do not store your private keys and we have no control over the transactions that take place in the Ethereum network. As such, we are not able to provide any help in reversing/redirecting transactions or recovering lost funds.
In addition, we also provide a set of load-balanced robust API Services that can be used to either build decentralized applications or to serve as data feeds for Ethereum Blockchain information.
How to Log in to Etherscan
On our homepage (or any other page of our website), click on Sign In located on the top-right corner of the screen
Key in your Username and Password in their respective fields.
Solve the captcha test.
Click Login and if you have problem in login then Contact Etherscan customer Service
Forgot Password
On our homepage (or any other page of our website), click on Sign In located on the top-right corner of the screen.
Click on Forgot Your Password? that is situated between the Username and Password fields.
Enter your registered account's email address, clear the reCAPTCHA test and click on Reset Password.
If the email address belongs to a known account, a recovery password will be sent to you within the next few minutes.
If you have yet to receive the "Password Recovery" email, please check your spam/junk email folders
Or you may request for a new password reset after 15 minutes.
In the email, you will receive your username and a temporary password that is valid for 24 hours only. Use this login credential to sign in to your account and remember to change your account's password to a new one immediately after logging in.
Account Setting & Profile
Under the Account Settings & Profile tab on your profile dashboard page, you can edit or personalise your account and public profile settings. Please refer the guides below (you need to login to your account first):
- Changing Email Address:
Replace the existing email address in the Email Address field and click Save Changes at the bottom of the page
You will be required to enter your password to confirm the request.
Once you have entered your password, a confirmation email will be sent to the new email address for confirmation.
After clicking the confirmation link, you will be redirected to our website and prompted to login to your account
Login to your account and you have successfully changed your account's email address
- Changing Password:
Enter the OLD and NEW password in their respective fields
click Save Changes and the password will be updated If this s not helpful then you may contact Etherscan support number
